Overview

The After-School Provider Level I Certificate prepares individuals to support children in structured out-of-school-time settings. The program provides a general foundation in child development and emphasizes creating safe, engaging, and supportive environments for children across early childhood age ranges. Students develop skills for facilitating learning experiences, encouraging positive behavior, and supporting children with diverse needs. Upon completion, students are prepared to assist in after-school and extended-day programs that promote academic, social, and emotional growth.

Career Options

Graduates of the After School Provider program are prepared to work in after-school programs, childcare centers, and youth programs supervising school-age children.
