Day 1 Access logo

Day One Access is a Weatherford College program that allows students to purchase instructional materials at a reduced price.  It also allows student access to those materials on the first day of class, hence the term “Day One Access.”  That immediate access can have a significant role in student success.  Through this program, the cost of materials is paid by the student at the same time as paying for course tuition and fees.  While electronic course materials are the default option, students who prefer a print-text (again at a reduced price) may upgrade their purchase by visiting the bookstore.  Students may opt out of Day One Access, however those students are responsible for insuring the acquisition of instructional materials themselves.

Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice and are payable at the time of registration. Students who are receiving financial aid must confirm their financial award with the Financial Aid Office prior to registration. All students registering for classes and paying by check will be dropped from all classes if a check is returned for insufficient funds. Any unpaid charges will be sent for collection. The student will be responsible for all collect costs incurred.

Additional Fees, as Applicable

All fees must be paid by cash, cashier’s check, money order, or credit card. All fees are non-refundable.

To help students meet their educational expenses, Weatherford College offers a convenient online payment option. Students may select an installment plan and may choose to make payments from their checking or savings account or by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover credit cards. A $25.00 per semester, nonrefundable enrollment fee is the only cost to budget monthly payments.

A STUDENT WHO FAILS TO MAKE FULL PAYMENT OF TUITION AND MANDATORY FEES, INCLUDING ANY INCIDENTAL FEES, BY THE DUE DATE MAY BE PROHIBITED FROM REGISTERING FOR CLASSES UNTIL FULL PAYMENT IS MADE. A STUDENT WHO FAILS TO MAKE FULL PAYMENT PRIOR TO THE END OF THE SEMESTER OR TERM, MAY BE DENIED CREDIT FOR THE WORK DONE THAT SEMESTER OR TERM.

All students must register and obtain a College parking permit before operating their vehicles on campus property. Parking permits may be paid for at the Business Office. Parking permits must be picked up from the Campus Police Department. Permits expire in August of the current school year.

Permit fee are assessed as follows:

Parking – Fall

$30.00

Parking – Spring

$30.00

Parking – Summer

$30.00

Additional fee per permit for registering more than one vehicle.

$2.00

The Texas Legislature has mandated that a course repeated by a student more than twice at a public institution of higher education may not be reported for state funding. As a result, the institution must either pass the non-funded portion to all students or charge a supplementary fee. Consequently, Weatherford College has chosen to assess a supplementary fee to only those students repeating the course more than twice. For courses being taken for the third time, students will be charged $50.00 per semester credit hour ($150.00 for a three-hour course) in addition to tuition and required fees associated with the course. Students will be notified at the time they register for a course that it has been taken twice at Weatherford College and is subject to the supplementary fee.

Students may request a waiver of the Three-peat fee based on hardship in the financial aid office where they will be informed about the procedures. Students may receive the waiver for no more than one time per class and no more than three times cumulatively.

MUAP – Individual Music Instruction Fee

A fee of $150.00 per semester hour is assessed for MUAP Individual Music Instruction.

Returned Payment and Unpaid Charges

A $25.00 returned payment fee is charged for each payment returned by a financial institution for any reason. Returned payments for tuition and fees will be considered non-payment; therefore the student will be subject to being dropped from all classes. The college will no longer accept checks from an individual who has a prior returned check.

Any unpaid charges will be sent to a third party agency for collection. The student will be responsible for all collection costs and attorney fees.

The Business Office is located on the lower floor of the I.B. Hand building.
