Overview
The Sports Turf Technician Award at Weatherford College allows students who successfully complete the program to be prepared for a career in the dynamic field of sports field, golf course, landscape and greenspace maintenance. Additional skills will be gained above the Golf Turf Maintenance Technician certificate on the pathway to completion of the Sports and Turf Management A.A.S. degree.

The completion of the additional courses in this certificate should better prepare students for management or supervisory roles within the industry. In addition to expanding student knowledge of irrigation systems and completion of an internship to give practical field experience. It is in the progression of the pathway towards the A.A.S. and potential participation in the B.A.A.S. in Organizational Leadership.
