  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with faculty, peers, clinical staff, and patients.

  • Explain procedures or results when required, using appropriate professional terminology.

3. Motor Skills

  • Perform fine and gross motor movements required for laboratory procedures, such as pipetting, plating cultures, and operating instruments.
  • Handle delicate instruments and glassware safely.
  • Lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Stand, sit, bend, and move freely for extended periods during laboratory and clinical work.

4. Intellectual and Cognitive Abilities

  • Measure, calculate, reason, analyze, and synthesize information efficiently.
  • Interpret laboratory results in the context of patient care.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Apply knowledge from classroom and laboratory instruction to clinical situations.
