Overview

Associate of Arts in Mass Communication allows students the opportunity to gain competencies and exposure to different career paths such as journalism, radio announcer, marketing and public relations.

Students in A.A. Mass Communication will take classes along side with students in A.A.S. Radio / TV Broadcasting, where they gain applicable hands-on experience to move into the workforce.

Career Opportunities

Upon graduation student may gain employment in journalism, public relations, marketing and other areas. Some may pursue a B.A.A.S. in Organizational Leadership at WC or transfer to pursue a B.A. degree in Journalism.

The courses are similar and can substitute for the other. Students can transfer in and out of the other.

Transfer Options

Students may continue their education at WC by pursuing a B.A.A.S. in Organizational Leadership.
