Step-by-Step Application Instructions

In order to apply to the EMT Program at Weatherford College, you must complete the following: 

Confirm you can meet the physical and mental requirements of the program.

1. Online College Application: 

  1. Go to WC.edu's How to Apply page
    • Select either:
      • New Student (Never attended Weatherford College)
      • Returning Student (If you haven’t attended in the last 2 years)
      • Transfer Student (If you have attended any college elsewhere)
  2. Follow the steps on the next page to set up your coyote recruit account
    • Academic Level: Undergraduate
    • Academic Program: Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Certificate
    • Entry Term: Based on term applying for

2. Submit Official Transcripts: (High School and Any College) This can be done online through Parchment.com to the College AND bring hard copies to the coordinator.

3. Meningitis Vaccine (if under 21): Provide proof of a meningitis vaccine within the last 5 years to admissions.

4. Complete the TSI Exam (unless exempt as a college graduate or veteran): If Military, please contact Tammy Peters at 817-598-6243. 

Submit the following documents in person 

  • Meningitis vaccine proof (For anyone under 21 years of age)
    • Within the last 5 years
  • American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR Card
    • Some clinical sites do not accept CPR cards from the American Red Cross, so this certification is not acceptable for admission to the program.
    • CPR Cards cannot expire before the end of the course.
    • We DO NOT accept Heartsaver CPR courses from the AHA. These are not designed for professional healthcare providers.
  • Driver’s License
    • Color copy of the front and back
  • Official hardcopy of transcripts
    • Provide official hardcopy transcripts sealed regardless of submission by electronic with your application. 

All communication occurs through the WC email assigned to the student.

Set up your student email on your phone, tablet, or computer. If you encounter issues, contact Technology Services at 817-598-6364. 

After submitting Steps 3 and 4, students will need to regularly monitor their Weatherford College email for confirmation of their registration to the program. Once notified, it is the student’s responsibility to complete payment arrangements with the college. Failure to make payment by the college’s mandatory deadline will result in the student being dropped from the course.
