WC presents Shakespeare’s ‘King Lear’

Weatherford College Fine Arts presents William Shakespeare’s tragedy, “King Lear,” in the Alkek Fine Arts Center June 12-15. Admission is free. 

Step into the world of ancient Britain and witness a gripping tale of power, betrayal and madness. 

Performances are at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. All shows include a 15-minute intermission. 

This play is rated PG-13 for scenes of violence. 

The cast includes James Brownlee in the title role of Lear, Elliot Hayes as Goneril, Sandy Strittmatter as Regan and Mia Currie as Cordelia, among others. 

The play is directed by Michael Endy and James Brownlee.
