Every spring and summer semester (February- July), WC sonography students are enrolled in an OB/GYN course that has a lab component. The college offers free or low-cost ultrasounds during this time for the community.
Summer 2024
From May 22, 2024 to July 24, 2024, OB ultrasound appointments will be available on Wednesday mornings only, between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
If there are no listed appointment times on Wednesday mornings, this indicates that we are full that week. You will have to look at the following Wednesdays for an opening. The appointment slots that are available are based on the student’s lab time and instructor availability.
You must meet these requirements in order to schedule an appointment:
- Be under the care of an OB/GYN physician and have had an ultrasound performed for this pregnancy at that facility
- At the time of your appointment, be between 18-38 weeks pregnant. If you will be under 18 weeks at the time of your appointment, your appointment will automatically be cancelled.
Beginning on 5/15/24, all ultrasounds will be FREE to the public! If you are between 28-32 weeks, we will try to obtain a cute 3D/4D image for you (if baby is in a good position & you are interested,) if you book a 3D/4D ultrasound appointment. If you are not within that range, we will only perform a 2D ultrasound. We will always print images, look at gender (unless you ask us not to) & provide an est. fetal weight. Please, plan to be at the college for approximately 1 hour as 2 students & an OB/GYN registered sonographer scan your baby. We offer this service to help train our students and are extremely grateful for the opportunity you provide to help us advance their education!
