What is the best part of attending WC?  The best part about attending Weatherford College is how extensively the faculty works to provide their students with all the resources needed to succeed.

What are your post-WC plans?  I will start the Dental Hygiene Program at Texas Woman’s University in the Fall of 2017.

What are your favorite things to do when you are not at school or studying?  I love spending my free time with my friends and family.

What is your dream job?  I would like to become a Dental Hygienist, so that I can help educate our society on the significance of oral health. I want to help prevent costly medical procedures and promote confidence in my patients.

Who has been your greatest hero/mentor?  My greatest mentors have been my grandparents. They have always encouraged me to continue my education and have provided me with the means necessary. Their support has been essential to the person I am today, and I am so extremely grateful for all they have done.

What is your favorite book?  "Oh, the Places You’ll Go!" – Dr. Seuss

How important was affordability when choosing to attend WC?  The affordability of Weatherford College was crucial in my decision to attend college period. I never thought I would be able to afford college and figured working would be my only option. However, I have now graduated with my Associates of Science and have many scholarship opportunities available that will help me pay for my tuition at a big university. Weatherford College was the perfect place to start. It was not only affordable, but also provided me with resources necessary to succeed after graduation.

How would you describe the campus life experience you’ve had at WC?  The campus life at Weatherford College is unlike anything I have experienced. The faculty strives to provide an atmosphere that offers a sense of belonging. WC has students of all different backgrounds and is able to bring them together, and I believe this contributes to their students’ education as well. Although WC is a community college, they offer so many opportunities to meet others and, by doing so, makes it difficult to just see yourself as a commuter who is just taking classes. The campus life has definitely encouraged me to get involved and utilize the resources available.

How would you describe the quality of education you have received at WC?  The quality of education I received at WC has been phenomenal, and I know I am well prepared for all future endeavors. The faculty genuinely cares about their students’ education and their passion for their subjects encourages their students to strive for the best. The education I received at WC extends past subject matter. I also learned how to work well with others and how to appreciate that we all come from different backgrounds but can help each other reach the goals we are striving for.

How would you describe the individual attention you have received at WC?  The individual attention I received at WC has been extremely beneficial. The small class sizes they offer allows for discussion which helps enhance your understanding. The professors are always eager to help and have office hours set aside specifically to help those who need it. WC also provides tutoring for their students so the individual is provided with every opportunity to succeed.
