What was the best part of attending WC? The ability to pursue a quality education so close to home.
What are you doing now, after completing your education at WC? I am an RN at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth on the Renal/Transplant unit.
What are your favorite things to do when you are not at school or studying? Spending time with my husband, Andy, and our four kids.
What is your dream job? Transplant coordinator
Who has been your greatest hero/mentor? Why? Carin Adams, RN, MSN. She was the director of the 2012-2014 ADN Program here at WCWC. Her teaching and wisdom were invaluable to me.
How important was the proximity of WC to your home when choosing to attend? Very! The convenience of the campus made it much easier to juggle school and family.
How important was affordability when choosing to attend WC? The tuition at WCWC is reasonable.
How would you describe the campus life experience you’ve had at WC? I enjoyed my time as a student at WCWC. The small-town feel makes it easier to make lasting friendships.
How would you describe the quality of education you have received at WC? The AND program is very reputable in the nursing field. I believe I received the best preparation to work as a registered nurse in an ever-changing field.
How would you describe the individual attention you have received at WC? WCWC puts its students first, making the educational experience enjoyable.
What is your expectation of your ability to make living based off of your WC education? I am proud to say I graduated in May 2014 and began working as a registered nursing in July 2014! The nursing field is a solid career path with endless possibilities.
