Name: Charlie Little
Course of Study: Electrical Engineering
What is the best part of attending WC? The best part of Weatherford College is the proximity to the educators. You can build relationships with your professors, and I think that very few things are more important, in the teaching process, than that.
What are your post-WC plans? After Weatherford, I am studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, I hope to receive a MS, specializing in Embedded Systems, from either Oxford or Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
What is your dream job? My dream job would be anything on the forefront of this new, technological revolution.
What is your favorite book? I have too many favorite books to count, but the books that have taught me the most are “Candide” by Voltaire, “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand, and “Le Petit Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
What’s your impression of campus life at WC? I would describe the campus life at Weatherford College to be very communal. There are few social gaps between students. It feels as if each of us are open to converse and connect in a constructive manner.
What quality of education have you received at WC? I believe it is very short-sighted to assume that universities have some mystical insights into the truth of any given subject. No matter where you are, physics is still physics, calculus is still calculus, and chemistry is still chemistry. The limiting factor of education is personal input; you get back what you put in, and Weatherford College has given back much more than I could ever hope for.
How would you describe the individual attention you have received at WC? At any time during office hours, my professors have been open to help and answer any questions that I might have. Most are eager to explain any given curiosity within the coursework, and I believe that is very constructive to the learning process.
