General Expenses
Prior to First Semester: Immunizations, Drug Test, CPR, Back/Spine Screen, Criminal History Check. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) rule 97.64, "Required Vaccinations for Students Enrolled in Health-Related and Veterinary Courses in Institutions of Higher Education" requires students enrolled in health-related courses, which will involve direct patient contact with potential exposure to blood or bodily fluids in education, medical, or dental care facilities will complete a three-dose series of hepatitis B vaccine or provide proof of a positive titer.
