The Associate of Arts in Child Development (A.A.) degree is an academic degree that will enable students to transfer to a university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Family Studies, or Family and Consumer Science. Those who earn this degree may seek to qualify for a variety of child care, preschool teaching, social work, parent education, and middle/high school teaching jobs/careers. Students are expected to complete observation or field experience hours throughout enrollment in the program.
