Radiologic Technology Selection Criteria

Selection into the program is based upon the following scoring methods:

Prerequisite Courses

Anatomy and Physiology I, Freshman College English, Introduction to Psychology, and College Algebra (points awarded for each course completed). Science courses must  be taken within the last five years.

  • A = 4 points
  • B = 3 points
  • C = 2 points

Points will be awarded for each of the following general education courses completed with a C or better; Humanities or Fine Arts Elective (3 credit hours):

  • A = 4 points
  • B = 3 points
  • C = 2 points

It is recommended that all general education course work be completed prior to entering the Radiologic Technology Program.

Bonus Points:

Anatomy and Physiology II taken within the last five years.

  • A = 4 points
  • B = 3 points
  • C = 2 points

Previous educational degree:

________  MS = 8 points

________  BS = 6 points

________  AA = 4 points

Students will be ranked by points accumulated. The 40 applications with the highest cumulative points will be selected for an interview. The top 24* applicants will be accepted into the program and the next 10 applicants will be selected as alternates. * Number of applicants is subject to change.
