The Drama program at Weatherford College produces four shows every year. The first show is a musical, which includes community talent combined with college talent.
The department also produces a traveling children’s show that runs from the fall into the spring semester. In the spring, Drama students travel to the Texas Community College Theatre Festival and the final production of the season is presented in April. During the year, Drama students are involved in special events and entertaining various organizations.
Texas Community College Theatre Festival
The spring semester consists of a production that will travel to the Texas Community College Theatre Festival, which is held on a different Texas college campus every February. The partici-
pants spend five days viewing the plays of other Texas community colleges and presenting their own production. The Festival is an opportunity to be evaluated by an adjudicator and receive awards for overall production, acting and technical presentations.
