The Weatherford Fire Department will conduct training sessions inside and around Couts Hall at Weatherford College Jan. 28-30.
The training will include pulling hoses around the building and practicing emergency entry into rooms as well as entering the building through the roof. The training may appear like an actual emergency situation, but will be a regularly-scheduled training.
Couts Hall is scheduled to be demolished this spring to make room for the college’s new Workforce and Emerging Technologies Building.
“This is a great opportunity for the city’s firefighters to use this building for training before it is removed to make way for the next chapter at WC,” said Brent Baker, WC vice president of institutional advancement. “It’s another good example of the city and the college working together.”
