Bellevue University President Mary Hawkins emphasized the options that the partnership creates.
“I think that the relationships that we form with the community college are really valuable, because it gives students opportunities for choice and new paths,” she said. “We build their education on what they bring from the community college and it continues to leverage their learning. A relationship is something that you invest your time into. There’s going to be an importance in knowing the culture here. A relationship matters.”
Bellevue University’s Premier Partnership network has now grown to 38 schools in 15 states. The agreement with Weatherford is the first in the state of Texas.
