The community is invited to the Weatherford College campus Monday afternoon as twilight falls across town during the solar eclipse.

WC’s newest physics instructor James Espinosa will present a short talk, offer a pinhole viewer activity and broadcast the eclipse live as seen from Oregon in the room 104 lecture hall located in the Academic Building. The first 20 participants to arrive will receive solar eclipse glasses.

The event starts at 11:30 a.m. as the eclipse begins to build. At its maximum, the moon will eclipse 75 percent of the sun from Weatherford’s viewpoint around 1:06 p.m. and begin tapering off at 2:30 p.m.
