The Weatherford College Education Center at Granbury is offering creative solutions to help working students earn their degrees faster.
Starting in the Fall 2019 semester, WC Granbury will offer hybrid courses for most of the evening classes and some day courses. Hybrid classes allow students to engage with instructors and classmates in the classroom and then complete assignments and other responsibilities online.
“Although many working students prefer online courses, others feel they are more successful in a physical, classroom setting,” said Dr. David Russell, WC Granbury associate dean. “This educational format will also prepare students eventually to make a seamless transition fully to online learning, which is quickly becoming the model for almost every level of education.”
WC Granbury will also offer eight-week accelerated courses this fall including math which allows students to complete their required college math in one semester rather than two.
“These creative learning approaches provide additional opportunities for students to approach or maintain full-time status in order to accelerate their progress toward earning degrees,” Russell said.
