The Weatherford College Foundation has announced that their generous donors gave a total of $1,289,842 to support WC and its students in the 2019-20 fiscal year.
The amount, a record for the foundation, represents a 117 percent increase from the previous year.
“We can’t thank our donors enough for their incredible generosity,” said Brent Baker, WCF executive director. “It is a real privilege to see donors’ gifts help students on a daily basis at Weatherford College.”
Baker said much of the credit for the record-breaking year should go to Bob Glenn, WCF president, for his exceptional volunteer work in raising funds.
“Bob has raised more than $400,000 in less than 20 months as a volunteer,” Baker said. “His contribution of time and expertise will be felt here for decades in the lives of students.”
Glenn was recently honored with the Roger Grizzard Community Service Award from the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce.
