Take a break from your holiday hustle and bustle this weekend at Weatherford College with a Jazz Concert and Opera Workshop.
Friday, the WC Jazz Band and WC Studio Band will entertain with their annual holiday jazz concert featuring an array of music including “O,” a medley of traditional and secular Christmas carols, and an arrangement of “The First Noel” by WC adjunct instructor Ric Flauding.
Come back Saturday for the student opera workshop “A Ghost, A Ghoul, A Witch and Gypsies” featuring scenes from “Carmen,” “Don Giovanni,” “Hansel and Gretel,” and “The Secret Garden.”
Both shows begin at 7:30 p.m. on their respective days in the Alkek Fine Arts Center. Doors open at 7 p.m., and admission is free.
