The Career and Transfer Center at Weatherford College is looking to help community businesses grow by offering its services free of charge.
“We have various outlets to assist businesses and the citizens of our service area, including an online job board and resume assistance,” said John Turntine, Jr., Director of the center.
The center also hosts two or three job fairs each year, one being solely for allied health professions.
“This is our way to give back to our extended family outside of the campus,” Turntine said, “by helping both job seekers and businesses who are in need of qualified employees.”
CTC services available to individual community members include resume and cover letter assistance, interview tips, online job search resources and career fairs. Businesses can access the online job board, on-site recruitment and participate in career fairs.
To learn how to submit available positions to the job board, email Linda Hutton firstname.lastname@example.org for a step-by-step guide. To view open positions in the area go to www.collegecentral.com/wc. Both businesses and citizens must register for access to the site.
