WC Baseball holds First Responders Day

Weatherford College baseball is hosting First Responders Day to honor all police, fire and EMTs on Saturday, April 1, during WC’s doubleheader against Hill College beginning at 12 p.m. at Roger Williams Ballpark.

All first responders and their families will receive free admission to the doubleheader along with a grilled hot dog meal.

“The Coyote baseball program is honored to recognize the first responders of Parker County,” said Jeff Lightfoot, WC Head Baseball Coach. “This is our opportunity to say thank you to those who put their lives on the line every day to protect others.”

Parker County Fire Marshal Kurt Harris is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the first game. Harris, the 2016 WC Alumnus of the Year, has spent 40 years as a first responder, including decades with the City of Weatherford.
