Adding & Dropping ClassesPrior to the first day of a semester, students may add/drop classes in one of three ways.
After the first day of a semester, students who have not previously registered for classes will incur a late registration fee. Students who have registered for classes but wish to add or drop coursework can do so online the first week of classes for the semester, in person in the Office of Student Affairs or Education Centers, or by Fax request signed by the student.. Refer to Course Schedules, Catalog, and Calendar for deadline dates for Adding/Dropping classes. If the change in schedule causes a decrease in credit hours, a prorated tuition will be refunded up until the last day for refund. Please refer to Course Schedules, Catalog, and Calendar for refund periods. If the change in schedule causes an increase in credit hours, any additional tuition and fees will be due at time of registration. Six-Drop LimitStudents who enrolled in a Texas public institution of higher education as a first-time freshman in the fall of 2007 or after are limited to no more than six drops during their undergraduate career. The six-drop limit includes courses taken at any Texas public institution of higher education. All courses dropped after the official day of record for the semester will be included in the six-course limit unless the student withdraws from all classes, or the drop is authorized by an appropriate college official as an approved drop exception.
