GRADUATION INFORMATION
Weatherford College offers students three opportunities each year to graduate from their degree/certificate programs: May, August, and December.
Students are responsible for working with academic and admissions advisors to be aware of when they are nearing graduation. During the semester in which a student anticipates completion of degree/certificate requirements, a Petition for Graduation must be completed and submitted to Student Services. The Petition for Graduation may be submitted electronically and is located at https://www.wc.edu/students/student-services/academic-services/petition-for-graduation . Paper copies are also available in the Student Services Office and the Administrative Offices of the Education Centers.
In order to consider transfer work from other schools/colleges, official copies of all transcripts must be provided to Weatherford College.
The deadlines to submit a Petition for Graduation are:
- October 28 for December graduation
- February 17 for May graduation
- July 19 for August graduation
Weatherford College conducts one commencement ceremony each year. Commencement is held in May. May graduates, as well as students who graduate the December before and the August after the ceremony may participate in the May commencement.
Commencement information may be found at: http://www.wc.edu/students/student-services/academic-services/graduation-steps.
Once a Petition for Graduation is submitted, status of the petition may be checked on the student’s Campus Connect account. Status information is visible in the banner area of the first page of the student’s account. Diplomas and certificates are mailed to graduates approximately six weeks after the end of the semester in which graduation occurs.
