APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS


1.  Submit Weatherford College application and official transcripts to the Office of Student Affairs

2.  Submit Allied Health application and official transcripts from all colleges attended to the Allied Health Office, Office C.

  • Only completed applications along with transcripts will be accepted.
  • Applications are accepted the first business day of December through the last business day of April each year.
  • Submit proof of Hepatitis B vaccine (three dose series), proof of positive titer, or Dept. of State Health Services waiver by August 31st
    of each year.

3.  Completion of all prerequisite courses with a “C” or better.  It is strongly recommended that all general requirement courses
     be completed prior to acceptance.

4.  Before being accepted into the Respiratory Care Program, an applicant whose native language is not English must submit
     an acceptable score on the Test of Spoken English. Additional information may be obtained from the Allied Health Department.


Selection Process


1.  The prerequisite and general requirement courses will be scored as follows:

  • A = 4 points
  • B = 3 points
  • C = 2 points
  • D = 0 points

An applicant can receive a maximum of 28 points in this area.

2.  Points awarded for a previous degree:

  • Master’s = 8 points
  • Bachelor’s = 6 points
  • Associate’s = 4 points

3.  Points may be awarded for prior health care experience.

4.  The 24 - 30 applications with the highest cumulative points will be accepted each fall semester.

5.  Letter of acceptance will be mailed before the last business day of June.
