RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY FACULTYDebbie GeeBorn and raised in the gentle state of Kansas, I received my Bachelor’s Degree at Kansas State University in Education. Thereafter, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Gateway Community College in Radiologic Technology. I moved to Los Angeles, California and began working for a large community hospital in Burbank, where I stayed for 22 years. I began as a portables and surgery technologist and later became a trauma tech in the Level 1 trauma center. Through time, I was promoted to Performance Improvement/Quality Control supervisor, RIS system manager, Imaging Services Safety Officer, manager for hospital-wide transportation, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, and all support services. I moved to Texas in 2002 and secured employment as Assistant Director in a metropolitan hospital in Fort Worth. In 2004, I was hired by Weatherford College to build a new Radiologic Technology program for the campus and in 2009, acquired a Master's Degree in Radiologic Science from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. It has been a joy to combine my two vocations as Educator and Technologist. Crystal Jennings BSRS, R.T. (R) (M)I attended Weatherford College just after graduating high school. After completing my pre-requisites, I transferred to Midwestern State University to begin classes in the radiologic technology program. I received an associated degree in 1992 and began working as a radiologic technologist at Humana Hospital in Abilene. I continued my class work and obtained a bachelors degree from Midwestern in 1996. I worked as a technologist at Campbell Hospital for 13 years and then in 2005 came to Weatherford College to begin a teaching career in the Radiologic Technology program.Pauline JonesGreetings! My name is Pauline Jones and I am the Clinical Coordinator for the Weatherford College Radiologic Technology program. As clinical coordinator, I work closely with all our sites, maintaining relationships with the directors and technologists and assigning students for clinical rotations. I am a native Texan and have lived in this area all my life. I came to Weatherford College in 2004 when the program first started. I attended UTArlington and Tarrant County College prior to finding my way into x-ray school. I graduated from the JPS School of Radiologic Technology in 1996 and received my bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences from Midwestern State in 1997. I returned to JPS to teach x-ray from 1997 to 2002. It was such a pleasure to stand in my old classroom and share my knowledge! After leaving JPS, it didn't take me long to find my way back to teaching, and I spent the next two years as a clinical instructor for Tarrant County College. I was so pleased when Ms. Gee called me about the Weatherford College position - what an incredible opportunity to be a part of shaping a new program. Teaching is my passion, but I also love to take x-rays. Although I have held many positions in diagnostic radiography over the years - from college health clinics, to orthopedic offices, to hospitals - I have always stayed true to my favorite clinical site as a student, Huguley Memorial Medical Center, where I have worked since graduation. It is just such an honor to walk into a site and see a former student working and making a difference - knowing that you helped them find their wings - who could resist that? |
