M allorie Simons didn't have much choice, she said, about coming to Weatherford College. Her mother, Lisa, has been a College employee for years, so it was pretty much decided for her. But, even without Mom's input, Mallorie said she would have come here, anyway, to get started on her nursing career.

"WC is close to home, and it's less expensive - good reasons to go here, sure - but the whole atmosphere with the faculty and what we're learning in class, the flexible schedule - all of that makes it a good decision to go to WC," says Mallorie.

And as a dual credit student, Mallorie already is well on her way to achieving her nursing degree and then will transfer to study for a specialty in pediatrics.

"WC is the best choice for me," said Mallorie - with or without Mom's say-so…
