Weatherford College alumni from across the region will be gathering at WC on Saturday, April 10, for Homecoming festivities.
Activities will begin with a reception for alumni to meet members of the WC Board of Trustees and WC President, Dr. Kevin Eaton. The reception will begin at 4 p.m. in the Library.
The traditional Awards Banquet will take place at 5 p.m. in the Doss Student Center. The Alumni Association will present the Alumnus of the Year Award and the Distinguished Alumni awards, as well as recognize scholarship recipients, members of anniversary classes, and other alumni accomplishments.
Organizers have also been informed that Dr. J.C. Nichols, WC president from 1965 to 1970, will be travelling from the Austin area for the banquet.
"We've had alumni travel from California, Washington, D.C., and other areas of the country for this event," said Brent Baker, vice president of institutional advancement. "People feel a deep connection with this college, and we're thrilled when they take the time to join us."
On-site registration for Homecoming will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Doss Student Center. The Archives Room on the second floor of the Library will be open from 3 to 5 p.m. for alumni to peruse yearbooks, photos and other WC memorabilia.
