Weatherford College officials are eager to hear the public's views on two new proposed courses: Occupational Therapy Assistant and Physical Therapy Assistant. "What we're really trying to do is to assess the public's interest in developing these courses," Dr. Shirley Chenault, WC director of resource development. "We are applying for a developmental grant through Title III funding, and gauging the community's interest in the programs is an important part of that planning." The Title III grant is designed to strengthen institutions by providing funding for new programs that the College otherwise would not be able to provide. The survey is available online through May 26, 2010, and contains only four questions. All answers are anonymous. The record kept of survey responses does not contain any identifying information about responders. Those interested in pursuing a career in these two health-care fields are especially encouraged to complete the short survey. "It will be valuable input for us as we prepare the grant proposal," said Chenault. The survey is online at www.wc.edu/titleiii.
