Weatherford College Distance Education Department

Through distance education at Weatherford College, you receive quality instruction and course content regardless of where you live. Distance education utilizes the Internet, interactive (two-way) video, and the Virtual College of Texas. Regarding course content and your learning experience, there is no difference between distance education and traditional classes.

Distance education classes conducted via two-way video originate from the Weatherford College Distance Learning Labs located in the Boyd Technology Building, Rooms 207 and 208. This avenue of teaching will enable Weatherford College instructors to connect to several different locations and interact with all students while remaining on the WC main campus.

Through the Virtual College of Texas (VCT) students may take courses from colleges anywhere in Texas while receiving support services locally from Weatherford College. Students in WC's service area may enroll in online courses via the VCT for courses that WC does not offer. The VCT is a collaborative of 50 Texas community college districts and the Texas State Technical College System. The VCT functions as a service of the Texas Association of Community Colleges.
